Born in Paris in 1996, Antonin Musset studied at the Paris Regional Conservatory,  Bern University of the Arts and Hochschule für Musik und Theater München with Alexandre Lacour, Hélène Dautry, Antonio Meneses, and Julian Steckel. 

Since 2021, he is an Artist in Residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Belgium, under the tutelage of Gary Hoffman and Jeroen Reuling.

In 2018 Antonin was awarded with a special prize at the Witold Lutosławski International Cello Competition for his interpretation of the Chopin Cello Sonata and was invited by The Fryderyk Chopin Institute to perform at the festival “Chopin and his Europe” in Warsaw.                              In 2023, he received a special commendation from the Pierre Fournier Award which took place at the Wigmore Hall in London.

In recent years, Antonin has been invited to take part in some of the most prestigious academies in Europe: the Verbier Festival Academy and the Seiji Ozawa International Academy.                        In masterclasses, Antonin has benefited from the guidance of masters such as Jian Wang, Frans Helmerson, Rohan de Saram, Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt, Jens Peter Maintz, among others.

As a soloist, he has performed with the Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie, the München Hochschulsymphonieorchester and the Belgian National Orchestra.

At the age 19, he joined the Sinfonieorchester Basel as an intern, and was accepted two years later in the Academy of the Symphonieorchesters des Bayerischen Rundfunks.

He has performed as a guest Principal with the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra. 

Antonin was the Pricipal cellist of the Orchestre National de Metz for the season 2023/2024 and is the Principal cellist the Berner Symphonieorchesters since September 2024.

Antonin plays a cello made by Claude-Augustin Miremont from 1870.
